Bellagio Shanghai’s Chinese name –“宝丽嘉”means preciousness, beauty and luxury. Its brand logo is also as exquisite as jewellery. Bellagio is a beautiful small town located in the central area of Lake Como in Northern Italy, which is a Y-shaped, long and slender lake formed by Alpine glacial erosion. Bellagio Las Vegas opened in 1998 has established the qualities of kindness, permanence, delicacy and excellence as the brand standards of Bellagio. By building a paradise on earth as beautiful as Bellagio Town on the shores of Lake Como, it has made a perfect interpretation of their brand essence -“Nothing Short of Unforgettable”.

Using a modern interpretation of Art Deco which had heralded boom times, the design narrative has been heavily influenced by the historical neighbourhood of The Bund district. In keeping with the surrounding historical architecture the design utilizes a neoclassical scheme that references the legacy of Shanghai’s colonial past.

The design for Bellagio Shanghai Bund is expressed through the lens of couture fashion, with reinterpreted silhouettes, textures and embellishments which pays homage to the glamour and optimism of the Art Deco era. The decadent lobby with impressive grand staircase and a colour palette of dramatic creams and blacks are accented stylishly with champagne and emerald fabrics.

Some rooms and suites boast stylish, private terraces, as spacious as 90 square meters, from which the spectacular view of the vibrant Lujiazui skyline can be appreciated without obstruction. A 400-square-meter Presidential Suite, with its very own home theatre, marks the pinnacle of class and sophistication.

Bellagio Shanghai WATG and Wimberly InteriorsBuilt on the success of the Las Vegas hotel, which is the most recognizable with its fancy lobby ceiling, a world’s largest chocolate fountain, as well as a marvellous dancing water fountain in front of the hotel, Bellagio Shanghai aims to grab a decent share of the city’s highly competitive luxury hotel market with its “Nothing Short of Unforgettable” guest experience, an all-time belief by the brand.

Unlike its mega-size sister hotel in Vegas, the passionate culinary team at Bellagio Shanghai is dedicated to providing guests with tasteful and innovative dining experience at its four distinctive F&B outlets, among which LAGO by Julian Serrano stands out as an indisputable highlight.

Authentic and classic Cantonese and Shanghainese cuisine are served to pamper guests’ discerning taste buds, while 11 private dining rooms with their own distinct colour and decoration style help evoke nostalgic memories of old Shanghai in its golden days.

A throwback to Las Vegas, Cafe Bellagio is designed to recreate the traditional American diner experience with modern sensibilities. Its contemporary art deco and seasonal menu make it a perfect venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Bellagio Shanghai is the second Bellagio hotel in the world. Therefore, Suning Group has devoted a great endeavour to Bellagio’s first show in China and even in Asia. Bellagio Shanghai invited WATG, an American design company famous as “the Dream Factory in Architecture” to lead the design work, who successfully combined the Art Deco style with neoclassicism of the Bund in the design. In addition, the interior decoration was completed by Wimberly Interiors, one of the top 10 interior design companies in the world. Thanks to its exceptional design, Bellagio Shanghai has become a super luxury palace.

DECCA and the designers of Bellagio Shanghai share the same pursuit of perfection, though in different fields. OZ, the designer in chief of WATG, and NANA, the designer of the interior decoration always strive for excellence, which is really admirable.
