Project Rosinka

For one of our recent residential projects, we collaborated with designer Boris Dmitriev whose vision was anchored in a deep appreciation of the home's location. Set in a tranquil village surrounded by a picturesque landscape, the interior was designed to feel connected to its environment while remaining contemporary, elegant, and quietly expressive.

At the heart of the concept was a simple idea: let the environment speak. The designer drew inspiration from the character of the village and the beauty of the surrounding nature, blending modern lines with elegant country touches and mid-century influences. The result is a space that feels relaxed, authentic, and rooted in its location without being nostalgic or rustic.

Colour, texture, and material selection all played a significant role in shaping the atmosphere. Shades of green appear throughout, in furniture, fabrics, wallpapers, and even in the Murano glass inserts integrated into the straw-coloured floors, creating a subtle dialogue with the outdoors. Impressionist art also served as an influence, inspiring abstract textural motifs and patterns.

Standout pieces include a sideboard inspired by André Arbus and a selection of carefully balanced sofas, one classic and one contemporary, along with a striking coffee table finished in aged-mirror surface that resembles water shimmering in the light.

Decca's craftsmanship was central to achieving the designer's vision. Boris Dmitriev has highlighted the value of working with Decca not just for manufacturing, but for problem-solving, precision, and the ability to treat each piece individually as a piece of art. From hand-matched veneers and inlaid metals to custom hardware and meticulous upholstery, every detail was executed with precision and care.

This blog only offers a small glimpse of the project.
