When Stuart Forbes Associates came to Decca with the brief for the Members' Club at Fulham Pier, their vision was clear: They wanted it to feel like a home away from home, but not just any home, the home of your coolest friend. Every space within the club was designed to feel unexpected, residential and immersive, a world away from the conventional hospitality environment, with unique finishes, fittings and furniture that complement.
Decca manufactured a full range of bespoke furniture for the project, working closely with Stuart Forbes Associates at every stage to translate that vision into finished pieces that could perform in a high-traffic hospitality setting without losing their character or comfort. The process involved everything from fine-tuning foam densities and upholstery constructions to developing modular solutions for pieces too large to navigate the building's corridors in one section, and integrating motorised mechanisms into furniture that needed to work as elegantly as it looked. Throughout, the priority was the same: preserve the design intent, solve the technical challenges, and never compromise one for the other.
The pieces that came out of that process, from the corridor cabinetry on level 3 to the yellow bar stools and the concealed TV console units, speak for themselves. But perhaps what we are most proud of is what Stuart Forbes Associates said about the experience of working with us.
